Born in London, lived in Singapore and Belgium as well as the UK, Jasper Dalgliesh has been travelling the world taking photographs for over 40 years and his work covers a wide range of subjects. His prime aim is for the creative pleasure and whilst there is always a need for an artistic eye and ability, he believes that ‘being in the right place, at the right time – with a camera!’ is the most important factor. His first camera was an Olympus OM1 followed by a series of Minolta cameras. Since the advent of digital, he switched to Canon.
Jasper spent 11 years in the British Army with the Household Cavalry Regiment and trained as a helicopter pilot with the Army Air Corps. Flying allowed him to shoot from some stunning advantage points. He flew in the UK, Belize, Canada and across Europe.
